UQ Holder is a manga series by Ken Akamatsu set in the year 2086, a decade after magic is revealed to the world. Tota Konoe is a guy who dreams of leaving his village and exploring the big tower in the city. But his teacher Yukihime says he can only leave if he can beat her in a seemingly impossible challenge. When a bounty hunter attacks Yukihime and Tota, she saves his life by turning him into a vampire like her. And so Tota’s adventures begin in a world where technology and magic are so advanced they’re almost the same thing.
